Coffee on a comfy lounge chair overlooking Tokyo? Yes, please! It’s a beautiful hotel with stunning views, we even saw Mt. Fuji from here. Lovely room, comfortable bed, toiletries are excellent, professional and friendly staff. We could be in the thick of busy streets within minutes and yet this was a peaceful, tranquil place to rest. Very close to Shinjuku station and also Yoyogi station which was WAY less chaotic for us! Breakfast was excellent…many choices. I loved the banana juice. Eggs cooked to order, rice, mashed potatoes, bacon plus cold items like salads and chicken, decent fruit selection and nice breads. It’s great having 7-Eleven in the building. It’s true what they say about those great egg salad sammies. We dined at a couple of places close by and especially enjoyed Tavern on S. Don’t you have to go to Eggslut?

The location of the hotel is excellent, a short walk to the New South Exit at Shinjuku station where there is also a JR office where you can buy a physical Suica Card if needed, Shinkansen tickets etc. There’s a 7-Eleven downstairs and Family Mart around the corner which came in handy. There’s also a Starbucks in between the hotel and station. The beds are VERY comfortable and the size of the room and bathroom is large compared to other Tōkyō hotel rooms. The staff kindly organised our luggage to be forwarded to our next hotel in Kyoto - a seamless experience that saved us having to navigated the trains with our luggage when we checked out. The breakfast is buffet style with plenty of Japanese and Western options. The omelettes are delicious! Expensive if not included as part of your room rate.

Great location just south of Shinjuku Station, within walking distance to food options and shopping, Shinjuku, Meiji Shrine/Yoyogi Park, and Shibuya. Hotel is exceptionally clean and staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Room had a wonderful western view, though the room's view of Mt. Fuji was blocked by another building. Room was clean, as described, and soundproof. King bed easily fit 2 adults and a child. Bathroom was of western style and had a clothes drying line. Filtered water (hot and cold, need to provide a refillable vessel) is available on each floor. A 7-11 is available in the first floor of the building. By train, many locations around Tokyo are within a 20 minute ride,

Terrific value for money right on Shinjuku station - the hotel’s highlight is its location and relatively affordable price (considering typical Tokyo hotel costs). Not only that, the bigger rooms (King, Scenic, Panoramic) are very impressive in size considering it’s central Tokyo - I highly recommend going for them even though they’re slightly more expensive. Everything was clean and comfortable once we upgraded to the bigger room (our original double bed room of the smallest type was a bit too small for us and smelled of cigarettes - the hotel staff immediately offered alternatives).

I was so happy that I chose this hotel for my first solo trip to Japan. Getting to Shinjuku from the airport was easy; the hotel is in the less crowded direction around the station so you are not fighting crowds to get there. The room had a nice view from the 35th floor. I also temporarily lost an iPod so I left a note for housekeeping to look out for it and they found it! I had looked so they must do a very thorough cleaning.
